In conjunction with the 2007 International VR Photography Conference in Berkeley, the IVRPA announces its first annual Panoramic Photography Contest!
Both print and interactive panoramas are encouraged, and there are multiple categories available for submission: Landscapes, Cityscapes, Famous places and landmarks, People and events, Architecture and interiors, "Extreme" subjects and locations, Commissioned works, & Interactive Environments.
We are pleased to announce that Professor Helmut Dersch, author of the Panorama Tools programs that form the core of current VR panorama technology, has accepted our invitation to speak at the International VR Photography Conference in Berkeley.
The conference will be held June 15-20 at the University of California Berkeley. Professor Dersch will give the keynote address on Sunday, June 17. Details about Prof Dersch's talk will be posted to the IVRPA conference site when available.

We were unable to organize our own trip, but have located a commercial tour operator with a two day-one night trip that fits our conference schedule. But there are only 13 places - as of today. Prices from $249 to $319, depending on how many per room.
Online registration and payment are now available on the conference site. Register before may 15th to take advantage of the earlybird discount.

The schedule for the conference is shaping up nicely; we have a number of sessions, fieldtrips and socials lined up, but we are still open for suggestions for more.
That's why we set up a call for for participation; If you think you can give an interesting presentation during the conference, fill in the form to let us know! Available presentation types range from 15 minute 'show and tell' sessions to 2 hour presentations.
Attendees should plan on arriving in Berkeley either on Friday June 15th or Saturday June 16th. Some may want to arrive earlier for the optional event planned for Friday, or to stay longer, for the Yosemite field trip or to tour California on their own.
